During September 2002, the results of a poll by the Roper organisation were published in a report, prepared for the Sci Fi Channel, entitled “UFOs and Extraterrestrial Life – American’s Beliefs and Personal Experiences”.

 

 

 

 

During October 2002, the results of a poll by the Roper organisation were published in a report, prepared for the Sci Fi Channel, entitled “Roswell: Weather Balloon or Space Craft– American’s Beliefs about the Roswell Incident of 1947”.

 

 

 

On 22 October 2002, the US Sci Fi Channel sponsored a press conference to announce its support for a new public effort to gain release of secret government records on UFOs. Also announced was the formation of the Coalition for Freedom of Information (“Cfi”).

 

 

 

During 2003, the final report on the Sci Fi Channel sponsored Roswell dig was submitted to the Sci Fi Channel by William Doleman of the University of New Mexico (“UNM”) Office of Contract Archeology (“OCA”).
