On 11 November 1989, Robert Lazar was identified and interviewed on KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, having appeared in broadcasts since May 1989 under the pseudonum “Dennis”. Lazar claims to have examined the propulsion system of a UFO at Area S-4, a companion site of Area 51. (Area 51 is also commonly referred as “Dreamland”, “Paradise Ranch” and “the Groom Lake facility”.)

On 29 November 1989, there were UFO radar/visual sightings at Eupen, Belgium. This was one of a number of reports in Belgium from October 1989 to late 1990, often involving descriptions of a large triangle.
