During January 1969, a British Ministry of Defence spokesperson (Anthony Davis) appears on British television in a debate on UFOs.

 

 

 

6 January 1969 is the date given by Jimmy Carter (there is some confusion regarding the actual date) for his reported UFO sighting at Leary, Georgia prior to a Lions Club meeting.

 This incident is Case 32 in Isaac Koi's "Top 100" article,  since it was referred to in 65 of the books covered by that article.

On 8 January 1969, a National Academy of Sciences (“NAS”) panel produced a report providing an independent assessment of the scope, methodology, and findings of the University of Colorado study as reflected in the University’s Report. (Commonly referred to as “the NAS review of the Condon Report”).
